Belmonte to attend Quezon birth anniversary rites

MANILA, Philippines - Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. will be the guest of honor during today’s commemoration of the 131st birth anniversary of the late President Manuel Quezon.

Today is a special working holiday throughout the country and a special non-working holiday in Quezon and Aurora provinces and in Quezon City, as provided for under Republic Act 6741 passed in 1989.

The National Historical Institute, Quezon City government and the descendants of Quezon will lead simple commemorative rites at the Quezon Memorial shrine along Elliptical Road in Diliman.   – Perseus Echeminada
