Ex-actor stabs sister's lover

MANILA, Philippines - A former actor landed in jail for stabbing his younger sister’s live-in partner in Pasig City Monday night.

Leo Rabago, 45, whose last film was “Anak ng Dagat” opposite Aya Medel in 2003, showed no remorse in stabbing Felipe Malonzo, 36.

Malonzo is the live-in partner of Rabago’s younger sister, Gigi Ruiz, 36.

Senior Superintendent Napoleon Villegas, Pasig City police chief, said Malonzo, Ruiz and their child were having dinner at a family-owned eatery in front of their house at Green Park Village, Barangay Manggahan at around 8 p.m. Monday when Rabago approached him from behind and stabbed him in the neck with a kitchen knife. The handle broke off and the blade remained in Malonzo’s neck.

Doctors at the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center declared Malonzo out of danger.

Ruiz said her elder brother could be jealous because her partner was driving the Isuzu Hilander van their sister from Guam bought for their mother.

Rabago said he stabbed Malonzo because he heard the victim saying he would “kick him.” He added that he is willing to stay in jail for his actions.

Rabago said his mother owns the house Malonzo stays in, but Malonzo acts like he owned it.

The former actor also said Malonzo reportedly taught his sister to use illegal drugs.   – Non Alquitran
