4 bodies found along C-6 Road in Taguig

- Rhodina Villanueva -

MANILA, Philippines - Four men, suspected to be victims of summary execution, were found along C-6 Road in Barangay Wawa, Taguig City early morning yesterday.

Taguig police chief, Senior Superintendent Camilo Cascolan, was given strict orders by Mayor Sigfrido Tiñga to work on getting the victims’ identities and arrest their killers.

The bodies of the four still unidentified men were dumped by several armed men from a closed van along C-6 Road at about 12:30 a.m. yesterday. The victims’ heads were all wrapped with packing tape.

Cascolan said witness Romeo Ramos heard successive gunshots just a few meters away from his house at the time of the incident.

He went out to check and allegedly saw armed men dumping the victims from a maroon van with no license plate. Ramos immediately contacted barangay officials and the police.

Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) said one of the victims had a handcuff on his left hand. He was wearing a light blue athletic shorts, a white and blue basketball jersey with the no. 22 on it.

The second victim was wearing a white t-shirt and denim pants. The third wore denim shorts and a dark blue tank top and had several tattoos on his body. The fourth victim was clad in denim pants and a basketball jersey marked with “Celtics 51.”

Cascolan said the SOCO recovered one M-16 Armalite shell at the scene. He said the victims may have been killed elsewhere and their bodies dumped in Taguig to mislead investigators.

Cascolan tasked the investigation section under Chief Inspector Eufronio Obong Jr. to investigate the killings.
