MANILA, Philippines - The Makati City police are investigating the death of an officer of a security agency whose body was found in the basement of a building in Makati City Friday night.
Police Officer 3 Jason David said Gilbert Coldovera, 37, assistant detachment commander of the Leopard Security and Investigation Agency, was found lying on the floor of the basement of the Pacific Star building at the corner of Gil Puyat and Makati Avenues at around 8 p.m. by security guards Alexander Magno and Victor Arsenal.
Magno told police that a few minutes before they saw the body of the victim lying in a pool of blood, they heard someone fire a gun. Coldovera was found with a gunshot wound in the head.
Magno said the victim was previously confined in a hospital and was diagnosed to have skin cancer.
Police recovered a shotgun, a shotgun shell and several deformed bullets. David said a follow-up investigation is being conducted to determine if there is foul play in Coldovera’s death. – Rhodina Villanueva
