Alleged users nabbed in Valenzuela drug session

-

MANILA, Philippines – Three alleged drug users were arrested in the act of sniffing shabu during a police operation Tuesday night in Valenzuela City.

Chief Inspector Jay Agcaoili, Northern Police District anti-illegal drugs division chief, identified the suspects as Vincent Cabrales, 41, Jaime Alacon, 41, and Fedelino Ajoy, 42, all residents of Barangay Marulas.

Police seized from the suspects two disposable lighters, a tooter and two strips of aluminum foils with traces of shabu.

PO2 Ariosto Rana, NPD anti-illegal drugs division investigator, said the suspects were arrested at Cabrales house at 34 De Guzman street in Barangay Marulas at around 9:30 p.m. “A few days ago, we received a tip through the police Text PNP program informing us of the alleged frequent shabu session at Cabrales’ house,” Rana told The STAR.

Agcaoili formed a team to conduct a discreet surveillance operation of the Cabrales abode and his agents were able to confirm the information they earlier received.

“We caught them in the act of sniffing shabu,” Rana said.

Police were to file yesterday charges of illegal drug use and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia against the three suspects before the Valenzuela City prosecutor’s office. – Pete Laude
