4 hurt as salesman suffers seizure while driving

-

MANILA, Philippines - Four people were injured after a salesman had a seizure and smashed his sport utility vehicle into two other cars in Quezon City Sunday night.

The salesman, identified as Rudy Cu, 56, remains confined at the intensive care unit of the St. Luke’s Medical Center, said Police Officer 3 Carlito Datu.

Cu’s wife, Susan, and their four daughters – who were with him in the vehicle – were treated for minor injuries.

Cu was driving a white Nissan Patrol along E. Rodriguez Sr. Boulevard towards EDSA when he had a seizure.

The Cus’ vehicle smashed into a Nissan Sentra on the opposite lane, which spun out of control and hit a taxi behind it. The Cus’ vehicle then rolled over.

Cabbie Rogelio Palabrica, who was driving an EMP taxi, and warehouseman Manuel delos Santos, who was driving the white Nissan Sentra, sustained minor injuries.       – Reinir Padua
