Fire razes 100 houses in Taguig

MANILA, Philippines – A fire broke out at a residential area in Bagumbayan, Taguig City early yesterday, burning down 100 houses and leaving 150 families homeless.

Arson investigator SFO1 Reynaldo Valler said the fire started in the house of a certain Montejor Ericson on First Avenue at around 3 a.m. Firefighters on nine firetrucks rushed to the scene and put the fire out at about 5:10 a.m.

Valler said no one was injured in the fire, and they are still investigating what caused it. – Rhodina Villanueva
