MANILA, Philippines - A man fell from the fourth floor of an apartment building in Makati City Monday, landing in front of a group of Makati homicide detectives.
The lawmen were on their way to follow up on a case when the body of Nelson Ramos, 31, a barangay captain from Calasiao, Pangasinan, fell to the pavement a few feet in front of them as they passed the Crown Estate building.
The detectives rushed him to the Ospital ng Makati, where he died. “We were shocked. This kind of thing does not happen every day,” said homicide detective Police Officer 3 Rico Caramat, who added they are still checking if there was foul play involved in Ramos’ death. – Mike Frialde
