15 hurt in 3-bus pileup
MANILA, Philippines - At least 15 people were injured when three buses collided along EDSA near Estrella street in Makati City yesterday morning.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said a Pascual Liner bus (NXL-180) driven by Frediano Miralles was speeding along EDSA’s southbound lane when it lost its brakes and rear-ended a Philippine Corinthian bus (NYH-208) at around 7:55 a.m. The second bus then rear-ended a Vil-5000 bus (NYK-152).
Responding MMDA personnel rushed the injured passengers to the nearby Ospital ng Makati for treatment. Miralles was among the injured.
