Caloocan to hold online job registration

-

MANILA, Philippines -  Caloocan City Mayor Enrico “Recom” Echiverri yesterday announced a free online employment registration for new graduates and jobseekers at the City Hall Main (Plaza Rizal) tomorrow.

The online registration starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 12 noon.

Representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in cooperation with the city Labor and Industrial Relations Office (LIRO), Public Employment Services Office and STI College will conduct the Jobapalooza Mobile Caravan that will allow the online registration of job applicants at the barangay level.

Echiverri said the registration program will allow Caloocan residents a slot in the biggest and simultaneous nationwide Jobapalooza Job Fair of DOLE on Labor Day.

“The DOLE brings the Jobapalooza Mobile Caravan equipped with Internet-ready computers to Caloocan to help jobseekers register online for free,” he said.

Echiverri also said that a ticket will be e-mailed to registered applicants, allowing them to join the Jabapalooza Job Fair and watch the concert to be held at SM Mall of Asia on May 1.

LIRO Chief Dante Esteban added that jobseekers who failed to enlist with the mobile caravan at the Caloocan City Hall may also register with Jobapalooza by logging on to http://phil-job.net.

He also noted that those who qualify will receive in their registered email account the final instructions on their application during the Labor Day Jobapalooza Job Fair.      – Jerry Botial
