Light Rail Transit closed during Holy Week

MANILA, Philippines - The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said its Lines 1 and 2 will be closed from April 9 to 12 as the country observes Holy Week.

LRTA administrator Melquiades Robles said they will use the break to conduct preventive maintenance checks and repairs on the trains, the railway tracks and all other equipment.

Due to the expected decrease in ridership on April 6 to 8, the LRTA will also shorten the operating hours of LRT Lines 1 and 2 by one and a half hours. – Rainier Allan Ronda
