MANILA, Philippines - At least P500,000 worth of property were destroyed when a fire broke out in the stockroom of a hardware store along T. Jose street in Malibay, Pasay City yesterday morning.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Edsel Estrella, arson investigator, said the fire started at about 8:55 a.m. and spread to a neighboring house.
The fire reached fourth alarm, with around 18 firetrucks at the scene to help put out the fire. Estrella said the blaze was put under control at 10:06 a.m. and put out 12 minutes later.
No one was reported injured in the incident. The Pasay Fire Department said it is conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the cause of the fire. – Rhodina Villanueva
