2 bodies found in Quezon City

The bodies of two men suspected to be victims of summary execution were found near an automotive shop along Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City early yesterday.

One of the victims was identified as Ruben Saavedra, 52, of Agdangan town in Quezon province. He was identified through a community tax certificate found in his possession.

The other man remains to be identified. Police officer 3 Joseph Diño described the victim to be in his late 20s, of medium build and 5’5” tall.

Based on Diño’s report, the victims’ neck bore strangulation marks, and they had puncture wounds all over their body. Their head, hands and feet were wrapped with packing tape.

Police are still checking whether the case of the slain men could be linked to a body dumped in Manila yesterday. – Reinir Padua
