P1.4-M pekeng sabon kinumpiska ng NBI

Umaabot sa P1.4 milyong halaga ng mga pekeng whiten­ing soap at gamot ang nakumpiska ng mga ahente ng National Bureau of Investi­gation sa sunud-sunod na pag­­salakay sa ilang establi­sim­yento sa Maynila.

Ayon kay Head Agent Norman Decampong, execu­tive officer ng NBI-Intellectual Property Rights Division, ka­bilang sa mga nakumpiska ay ilang kahon ng mga pekeng Active White soap at mga kap­sula mula sa may 26 na Chi­nese drug stores sa sunud-sunod na raid na kanilang isinagawa.

Kabilang sa mga sinalakay ang Benson Chinese Drug­store, Mansoon Chinese Drug­store, Mankok Chinese Drugstore, Shun Xin Chinese Drugstore, Wenbin Chinese Drugstore, New World Chi­nese Drugstore, Cathay Oriental Chinese Drug Store, Kim Seng Chinese Drugstore, Kaka Drugstore, Manning Chinese Drugstore, Ban-san Chinese Drugstore, Long Tai Chinese Drugstore at Hong Thay Chinese Drugstore.

Sinalakay din ang Odeon Chinese Drugstore, Brilliant Times General Merchandise, Emerald Circle Mall, Sun Hing Chinese Drugstore, Bon Ping Drugstore, Central Drugstore, Ronquillo Chinese Drugstore, Healthway Drugstore and General Merchandise, East Asia Chinese Drugstore, Xing Long Chinese Drugstore, East West Chinese Drugstore, Lam Kang Drugstore at Son-An Drugstore.

Ang nasabing pagsalakay ay bunsod sa reklamo ni Jose Ong Ching ng Active White sa NBI na ang nasabing mga es­tablisyemento ay nagbe­benta ng mga pekeng sabon at gamot na may tatak na Active White.
