A man abducted near his house in Novaliches, Quezon City at past midnight yesterday was found dead a few hours later.
Edgar Torres, 29, sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of his body when he was found in front of a gate of a subdivision in Barangay Sta. Monica in Novaliches at around 5:20 a.m.
Police Officer 2 Rodel Tumangday said both Torres’ hands were tied behind his back with a black plastic cord. The police have yet to identify the persons and determine the motive behind the crime.
Tumangday said the suspects were identified only as men in a green van with unknown license plates.
Resident Roberto Balikas was jogging yesterday morning when he saw the victim lying on his back in front of the subdivision’s gate, Tumangday said in a report.
Tumangday said Torres was last seen alive when he was talking with a male friend at around midnight near his house in Barangay Gulod.
Two men alighted from a green van that stopped in front of Torres’ house and dragged the victim into the vehicle at gunpoint. – Reinir Padua
