Valenzuela City Councilor and local Liga ng mga Barangay president Alvin Feliciano is working for the inclusion of two more courses offered in his scholarship program.
Feliciano said that apart from computer courses, his scholars would soon be allowed to take criminology and education courses.
“The local barangay league learned that many of our poor but deserving students want to become teachers and policemen someday, so we decided to push for the inclusion of education and criminology courses in the scholarship grants,” he said.
Feliciano said the scholars would also be allowed to take vocational courses of their choice.
Feliciano’s partners in his scholarship project include Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian, first district Rep. Rex Gatchalian, Datamex Computer School, Global Reciprocal College, and the Splash Foundation.
The councilor said students who want to avail themselves of the scholarship program should go to the Liga ng mga Barangay office at the Valenzuela City Convention Center or call telephone number 294-5583 for inquiries. – Pete Laude
