A 53-year-old bar and restaurant owner was stabbed dead by one of his customers last night in Binondo, Manila.
Rodolfo Ledesma, owner of Kambingan Restaurant, was declared dead on arrival at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Hospital.
According to an investigation conducted by Police Officer 3 Rommel del Rosario, Ledesma – who personally supervised the operation of the bar – was approached by a customer complaining of the behavior of a group of men at another table.
This prompted the victim to keep a close eye on the suspects, one of whom approached him and asked why he was watching their group.
Before Ledesma could reply, the suspect stabbed him repeatedly. He was able to draw his .45 caliber pistol but failed to fire it. The suspect disarmed him, took the gun and fled with his three companions.
