The Caloocan City government kicked off its Tourism Week yesterday with a trade exhibit featuring products made by firms based in the city.
Mayor Enrico Echiverri said the Wow Caloocan trade exhibit “does not only give due recognition to our local manufacturers, but also provides livelihood and job opportunities to our residents.”
City tourism chief Marilou Buenaventura said one of the highlights of Tourism Week is a fashion show featuring Binibining Caloocan winners and candidates dressed in Filipiniana creations by fashion designers based in Caloocan.
Caloocan City officials said the city is known as the country’s “motorcycle capital” and the place to go for affordable furniture. – Jerry Botial
