The Metro Manila Development Authority is now planning on taking in Magic 89.9 FM radio disc jockey Mo Twister as a consultant and maybe a “talent” for the agency’s own AM station programs which mostly deals with traffic and emergency reports.
The young and very popular talker who also hosts a television game show on Studio 23 is supposedly being tapped not just to gain more listeners but because of his training and experience as 911 emergency line dispatcher in the United States.
“He worked there for four years,” MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando told The Star, confirming that he is looking at the idea.

The agency is running an AM station called the MMDA Traffic Radio 1206 KHZ where live traffic reports and situations are broadcasted.
It also maintains a weekly radio program aired of GMA-dzBB called MMDA sa GMA where issues and concerns related to the MMDA are discussed.
The idea of letting Mo Twister join the government’s radio shows is expected to definitely draw in more listeners especially among the youth and young adults.
However, Fernando and MMDA officials still have no idea as to whether the disc jockey would be interested in such a project.
He said he is yet to actually ask Mo Twister about being a consultant in communications and emergency concerns since that would be his field of expertise.
“Maybe he can help in how to handle emergency situations. Kailangan namin ng magagaling,” Fernando told The Star believing that the young DJ would probably say yes to an offer “for country.”
