- Jerry Botial -

A female call center agent walking on her way home was waylaid by two suspects riding in tandem on a motorcycle and took her belongings worth P53,000 early yesterday in Valenzuela City.

SPO1 Ronald Bautista, officer on case, identified the victim as Donabelle Ramirez, 32, of Sta. Juliana street, St. Jude in Barangay Malinta. Ramirez has filed a complaint against suspects Joefrey Tugade, 19, of Daffodil street, Malinta; and Ryan Miranda, 22, tricycle driver; resident of Ciudad Grande, Phase 5, Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Bautista said Ramirez was walking home at 1 a.m. yesterday along Sta. Juliana street when her path was blocked by three men on a black motorcycle.

Miranda alighted and at knifepoint threatened to harm Ramirez if she did not surrender her belongings.

After taking their loot, the three sped away in their getaway motorcycle toward Gov. Santiago street.

Not losing heart, Ramirez proceeded to PCP 4 and reported the incident.

Accompanied by PCP 4 operatives, Ramirez spotted the suspects still on the motorcycle. Miranda jumped off but the cops gave chase. He was later cornered, disarmed and handcuffed after a brief chase.
