Ex-cop with four outstanding warrants arrested
A twice-dismissed cop with outstanding arrest warrants for at least four criminal charges was arrested by intelligence agents of the Northern Police District (NPD) in
Chief Superintendent Pedro Tango, NPD chief, identified the suspect as Rogelio Tizon Jr., 33, formerly with the NPD.

NPD investigation chief Superintendent Augusto Mateo said Tizon has four confirmed unserved arrest warrants on various charges, including robbery with homicide issued last March 25 by Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Thelma Bunyi-Medina, who recommended no bail.

When he returned to the country, Tizon found himself implicated in a robbery case perpetrated by the Baratas Group, led by another former policeman, Ruben Baratas, last assigned with the headquarters service group of the National Capital Region Police Office.
Tizon has denied involvement with the group and the allegations. He was, however, identified by witnesses in a police lineup in Navotas.
NPD sources said Tizon managed to get himself reinstated early this year but failed to report for work, allegedly because of the several arrest warrants he faced, and was again dismissed.
Tizon is currently detained at the District Intelligence and Detective Management Division (DIDMD) detention cell.
