3 women, transvestite figure in bar brawl

Three women were arrested for beating up a cross-dressing gay man in a bar in Quezon City early yesterday.

According to a police report, Nicole Acellano, 24; her sister, Lucy, 23; and Sandylyn Cahapay, 21, allegedly ganged up on Lawrence Ositas, 21, inside the Decades Bar along Timog Avenue at about 4:20 a.m.

The police said the women beat up Casitas after his group exchanged taunts with their group.

Police Officer 3 Enrique Camuyot said the three women underwent inquest proceedings yesterday on charges of physical injury. Camuyot said that aside from bruises Ositas sustained on his arms, the victim also complained of a wound he incurred after one of the suspects hit him on the head with a bottle of beer.  – Reinir Padua
