2 bus robbers caught in San Juan

-

Two members of the “Tir-Tir” robbery gang were nabbed while robbing a 16-year-old student of her cell phone inside a passenger bus in San Juan City Wednesday.

Police arrested Arwin Cuadra, 20,  and Ronald Danao, 33, both residents of Sta. Mesa, Manila. A third suspect was able to elude arrest at the height of a commotion inside the bus. He is now the subject of a manhunt.

Police investigator PO2 Roger Abad said the incident happened at 6:30 p.m. inside a G-Liner bus in front of Puregold Supermarket along N. Domingo street in Barangay Pedro Cruz, San Juan City.

Prior to their arrest, the San Juan Police Community Precinct 5 received a report that a passenger bus in the area was being held up.

A police team headed by Senior Inspector Melchor Rosales responded and arrested the two alleged robbers.

The two suspects have been detained at the San Juan City police station while robbery charges are being prepared against them. – Non Alquitran
