Pasay hospital gets new eye equipment

-

The Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) has acquired a brand-new set of eye equipment worth P12 million to meet the needs of patients with eye problems.

Pasay City Mayor Wenceslao “Peewee” Trinidad said the equipment includes an opthalmic photodisruptor laser system, opthalmic surgical system, A-scan system and operation microscope, as well as a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine and a ventilator with air compressor.

Dr. Anacleto Mangonon, consultant to the mayor, said the machines were donated by the Pasay City Public Market Credit Cooperative and Fish Vendors Multi-Purpose Cooperative through the Pasayeña Foundation Inc.

The PCGH sports a new look after its P15-million renovation last February. From 50 beds, the hospital now has 300 beds.    – Rhodina Villanueva
