Authorities found the body of a baby boy and three severed heads in various areas in Quezon City yesterday.
Barangay Damayan chairman Gualberto Casaje said the baby’s body was found in an abandoned tricycle sidecar on H. Francisco street at 9:30 a.m. The baby was wrapped in a white cloth and plastic.
Casaje said the baby’s injuries indicate he was thrown into the sidecar. The body was turned over to a funeral parlor.
A report from Barangay San Antonio said two of the severed heads, those of a boy and a girl, were found floating among bags of trash in a creek at around 10 a.m. Barangay watchman Brynne Mangilaya said it was hard to estimate the victims’ exact ages since their faces were already bloated.
At 2:10 p.m., in nearby Barangay Del Monte, another severed head was found floating in Dario River.
Police have yet to establish whether the killings were related since the baby and the severed heads were found in adjacent barangays. – Reinir Padua
