Korean loses P2 M to ‘Dugo-Dugo’ gang

-

Suspected members of the “Dugo-Dugo Gang” victimized a Korean national who lost more than P2 million worth of cash and jewelry last Friday.

Victim Mi-Hee Kwak, a resident of Barangay Pasong Tamo, went to the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit over the weekend to report the incident, wherein she said her househelp was duped by two suspects.

According to the victim, housemaid Judith Bayhon-Madera received a telephone call at around 4:30 p.m. from a woman informing her that her employer was involved in a vehicular accident.

The woman told Madera that she needed to give cash and jewelry, worth around P2.39 million.

Madera was convinced and brought what the woman asked for to a fastfood restaurant, where she was met by an unidentified man. The case is still being investigated by the police.  Reinir Padua
