Customer grabs gun of guard

-

A man posing as a customer in a beauty parlor was arrested yesterday for grabbing the service firearm of a security guard in Caloocan City.

Arsenio Onrejas, 48, of the Silverstar Security agency was manning his post around 5 p.m. at the Index Salon in Sangandaan when the suspect Allan Lopez, 37 attacked the victim.

Onrejas told investigators that Lopez wanted a haircut and seated near the door.

Moments later, Lopez suddenly grabbed Onrejas’ .38 caliber revolver.

The two grappled for possession of the gun as customers screamed and tried to get out of the beauty parlor. Lopez, however, got possession of the gun and fled.

Marlon David and Roger Loresco, both employees of the city hall’s public safety office, who happened to be nearby and spotted Lopez who was running in their direction.

The two tackled the suspect who was quickly disarmed. Lopez was later turned over to the police.  Jerry Botial
