3 Chinese nationals caught using fake passports at NAIA

-

Immigration officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport prevented three Chinese nationals they caught using fake passports from leaving for Bangkok, Thailand.

Migrant Compliance and Monitoring Group (MCMG) head Clodualdo Peñera identified the three Chinese nationals as Chen Yuzhen, Chik KI Lau and Carla Yip, who arrived in the country last Nov. 22 from Hong Kong using their original passports.

Chen and Chik presented Philippine passports while Yip presented a Portuguese passport when they were about to leave for Bangkok.

During questioning, Yip admitted that she planned to bring Lau and Chen to Bangkok en route to Europe. She tried to bribe members of the MCMG with $3,000 for their release.

Peñera ordered the three to be put on the earliest flight to Hong Kong “where they came from.”  Rudy Santos
