Four youths, believed to be members of a street fraternity, attacked and killed a high school student and seriously injured his companion early morning yesterday in Sampaloc, Manila.
Michael Pombo, 18, was declared dead on arrival at the Ospital ng Sampaloc from multiple stab wounds in his body.
His companion, Raymart Ignacio, 17, was treated at the same hospital for multiple abrasions and contusions.
Police said the two victims escorted a female guest at a debut party on her way home to M. dela Fuente street past 3 a.m. On their way back to the party, Pombo and Ignacio decided to take a shortcut by passing through narrow San Jose street.
