Caloocan raid nets 10 kilos of marijuana
Police seized 10 kilos of dried marijuana leaves from an alleged big-time pusher in an operation yesterday morning in

Cuyutan yielded a black traveling bag containing 10 bricks of marijuana wrapped in newspaper and packing-tape, each brick weighing a kilo.
“Each brick, once repacked and sold to street buyers, could fetch up to P4,500,” Macavinta told The STAR.
The Caloocan City police Station Anti-Illegal Drugs (SAID) operatives, led by Chief Inspector Carlito Dimalanta, arrested Cuyutan as he got off a passenger bus from La Union on Camachili Street at around 9:30 a.m.
“We were able to establish contact on Cuyutan through one of his henchmen we arrested in an earlier operation,” Macavinta said.
SAID agents pounced on Cuyutan, who was carrying the dried marijuana leaves, when he agreed to meet with poseur-buyer Police Officer 2 Celso Santos.
According to the suspect, someone in Benguet province supplied him the marijuana he bought for only P1,000 per kilo, which he in turn sold to his buyer for P1,500 each brick. He refused to name his supplier.
Cuyutan said yesterday’s transaction was supposed to be his fifth for this year until he was arrested. He said he does his “business” alone.
