Police have arrested three armed suspects who robbed Viva Hot Babe Jaycee Parker in broad daylight in Sta. Mesa, Manila Thursday afternoon.
The suspects, Marlon Conarco, 19; Alfredo Dizon, 24; and Renato Badando, 32; were nabbed at a shantytown in Sta. Mesa.
They were positively identified by Parker, Joan Crystal de Jesus in real life, 22, as the persons who took her cash and personal belongings worth at least P100,000.
According to Parker, she was on board a taxicab (plate number PWZ-590) when the robbery occurred around 4 p.m. along the Zamora bridge.
She said the three men, armed with icepicks and a gun, forced open the taxicab and took her two cellular phones, an IPod, jewelry, identification cards and P30,000 cash.
After the incident, the three suspects allegedly walked through the squatter’s area below the bridge.
Parker immediately reported the incident to the police and volunteered to lead them in the hunt for the three suspects.
Parker herself detected the suspects while the police were patrolling the area.
Responding policemen said one of the suspects even fired at them, but the three men were eventually cornered and arrested. Their weapons – and Parker’s possessions – were not recovered.
At the police station, the three suspects asked for the victim’s forgiveness. Parker, however, proceeded to file robbery with intimidation charges against them. – Nestor Etolle
