UE accepts nominees for Alumni Awards

The University of the East Alumni Association Inc. (UEAAI) is accepting nominations for the UE Alumni Awards to be presented during the Alumni Grand Reunion 2007 to be held on Sept. 30 at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City.

The 2006-2007 UEAAI officers include Chairman Eugene Mateo, President Angelica Marquez, Vice President Adelia Rocamora, Secretary Ricardo Rivera, Treasurer Mercy Candelaria, Auditor Norberto Victa Rayupa, Business Manager Renato Chan, PRO Joymely Cua; Directors Brenda Dey, Edgar Arcilla, Loreto Garcia and Atty. Rosario Bernaldo. UEAAI adviser is Dr. Jesus Tanchanco Sr.

The categories for the UE alumni awards are: (1) Most Outstanding Alumnus; (2) Outstanding Alumnus in Government Service; (3) Outstanding Alumnus in Education; (4) Outstanding Alumnus in Private Business and Industry; (5) Outstanding Alumnus in Community Service; (6) Distinguished Alumnus in the Professions (e.g. Law, Dentistry, Business Administration, Computer Science, Library Science, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts.); (7) Special Awards (for any outstanding single achievement or special accomplishment of any alumnus).
