Parañaque City Mayor Florencio Bernabe Jr. has commended city police chief Superintendent Ronald Estilles and the rest of the city’s police force for a job well done in the capture of the prime suspect in the killing of a teenager.
Bernabe gave Estilles P100,000 for catching Anthony Borines in Camarines Norte, where he fled after killing 16-year-old Anthony Lim last April 18.
Borines had snatched Lim’s cell phone at the Galaxy Internet Café in Better Living. Lim ran after Borines and the two exchanged blows. Borines then pulled out a gun and shot Lim in the head.
Lim was laid to rest last week at the Manila Memorial Park. A total of P250,000 was offered as a reward for the speedy solution to Lim’s killing, with P150,000 coming from the victim’s family.
