Las Piñas City’s dream team for continued progress and development headed by re-electionist Rep. Cynthia Villar gears up for the homestretch of the campaign before the vote is cast on May 14.
With its campaign slogan "Iboto para sa tuloy-tuloy na progreso," Villar is hopeful that she will once again get the support of Las Piñeros for her last term in Congress.
Villar and partymates Mayor Vergel Aguilar and vice mayoralty bet Henry Medina, were proclaimed alongside District 1’s bets for the city council by no less than Senate President Manny Villar during a political rally attended by supporters and residents of Bgy. CAA.
"We are hopeful for a sweep. Sayang naman kung hindi maipagpapatuloy ang mga proyekto at programang nasimulan na para sa kapakanan ng mga taga Las Piñas," Villar said.
Villar is banking on her solid performance as a legislator for two consecutive terms, bringing to the forefront, numerous projects for the city of Las Piñas.
"Our programs are already in place for infrastructure, livelihood, health, education, women and youth’s welfare and environmental protection. Mas lalo pa nating pagbubutihin ang pagpapatupad niyan at dagdagan ng mga bagong ideya as we go along," said Villar.
Aside from her numerous infrastructure projects, Villar has put up over 200 motorized deepwell; intensified the Sagip-Ilog Project; built school buildings; rehabilitated hospital facilities, computerized and modernized learning techniques in the city’s public schools; supported sports and development programs and implemented livelihood programs to include the Las Piñas Parol Center, handloom weaving center and water lily weaving center.
Villar also made a mark in environmental protection when she put up the bamboo museum as part of the Pagtatanim para sa Kinabukasan Program. She also brought history back by reviving the saltbeds of Las Piñas and actively restoring the city’s historical corridor.
