Echiverri said he is confident that Caloocan voters will again support him and his team, running under the banner of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) party, for being dependable individuals.
Echiverri’s running mate is engineer Henry Camayo.
The Lakas-CMD bet to represent Caloocan City’s first district in Congress is Councilor Ricojudge Echiverri, the mayor’s son, who is also president of the Association of Barangay Captains. Businessman Tino Bagus will make a bid for second district congressman.
Running for councilors in the first district are Nora Nubla, Dante Prado, Boy Bacolod, Mel Mabagus, Dr. Susan Punzalan and lawyer Ramon Te.
Echiverri’s bets for second district councilors are actress Marjorie Barretto, Rose Mercado, Teben Cunanan, Alex Aruelo, Chito Abel and Lando Doloso.
Echiverri and his team are set to file their certificates of candidacy today at the local Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in Caloocan City North.
They will assemble early in the morning at the Morning Breeze Subdivision church, where they will start a motorcade to the Comelec office after hearing Mass.  Pete Laude
