Gringo answers mutiny raps

Former senator Gregorio Honasan submitted his counter-affidavit at the Department of Justice yesterday, refuting his alleged participation in the 2003 Oakwood mutiny.

Honasan, who is running for re-election, denied allegations that he implicitly incited troops to mutiny in his proposed program of government as outlined in his "National Recovery Program" manifesto. He also denied any involvement in the mutiny.

"The NRP is about change, but never in its letter and spirit does this program encourage such change and reforms through violent means. Our democracy is enough to see these changes through," he said. – Mike Frialde
