Belmonte, the honorary camp director of the yearly affair, assured camp organizers of the city government’s strong commitment for the protection and care of children with special needs "to make them feel that they are really cared for in this part of the world."
Among the activities for the two-day affairs includes a parent forum, on-the-spot painting contest, nature love, arts and craft, music and dance and first aid demonstration, among others.
The yearly gathering of children with special needs from various private and public schools in Metro Manila is a joint project of the city government, the Philippine Association of Retarded, Jaycees International, MWSS, Manila Water and the Department of Education. – Perseus Echeminada
