1 killed in knife attack

A man was killed and his cousin was critically wounded during a violent confrontation between two rival kin on Saturday night in Malabon City.
The fatality, Ronil Matias, 25, and his cousin, Rodante Matias, 35, were walking home at around 10 p.m. after accompanying some relatives to a jeepney terminal when they were attacked, according to investigator Police Officer 2 Benjamin Megio.
The alleged assailants, Erwin Martin and his brother EJ Martin confronted the Matias cousins over an old dispute. The heated argument turned violent and the Martin brothers attacked with knives and repeatedly stabbed the Matiases.
Concerned individuals brought the victims to the Pagamutang Bayan ng Malabon but Ronil died along the way. Police are currently hunting down the alleged attackers. Pete Laude
