Teen hangs self after breakup

A despairing 18-year-old boy tried to solve a problem of the heart by hanging himself before his horrified younger sister the other night in Malabon City.
Police Officer 2 Edsel de la Paz, the officer-on-case, said Jayson Santelices 13-year-old sister Midgie saw that his brother was quite agitated that evening because of problems with his girlfriend.
Santelices then told his sister: "Take care of mother." He then proceeded to climb up the ceiling with some nylon rope. His puzzled sister ran out, afraid of what he might do.
She returned a few moments later to find her elder brother dangling from the ceiling, already dead. She screamed for help and frantic family members rushed into the room and cut her brother loose. But it was too late. Jerry Botial
