2 killed in Parañaque road mishap

Two persons were killed while two others were injured in an accident involving five vehicles at the intersection of MIA Road and Roxas Boulevard in Parañaque City early yesterday morning.
PO3 Alipio Dimaano, officer-on-case, identified the victims as Jeanice Belda, 19, of Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City; and Edrosalan Santos, 56, of Sucat, Parañaque City.
Belda and Edrosalan sustained several wounds and fractures in different parts of the body and were declared dead on arrival at the San Juan De Dios Hospital.
Dimaano said Belda, a vendor, was attending to Santos, a taxi driver,who was buying coffee in her mobile store when the accident happened at around 1:20 a.m.
Florita Estrera, 40, of Barangay Tambo, Parañaque and Zaldy Lague, 25, of Barangay Sucat, Muntinlupa City, were injured.
Estrera who is also an ambulant vendor, is still in critical condition at the San Juan De Dios Hospital while Lague, who sustained minor injuries, was brought to the Parañaque Community Hospital for treatment.
Investigation showed that the southbound jeepney suddenly turned left at the intersection of MIA Road and Roxas Boulevard, and collided with a 10-wheeler truck, which was headed north. Rhodina Villanueva
