Another escaped inmate from the Caloocan City police jail was recaptured by pursuing policemen last Wednesday in Grace Park, Caloocan.
Chief Superintendent Pedro Tango, Northern Police District director, identified the arrested inmate as Arturo Delima, 25, who was recaptured while walking along 8th Ave. in Grace Park.
Tango said Delima was the third escapee to be recaptured following the arrest of Roderick Acantilado and another 17-year-old inmate.
Seven inmates escaped from the police Sub-station 1 detention cell in Bagong Barrio last Tuesday morning after the detainees sawed off the steel handle of the door of their detention cell.
The first two inmates were recaptured hours after the jailbreak. The inmates pinpointed Delima as the prisoner who sawed off the steel door handle.
Police said the metal saw was smuggled into the detention cell by the wife of one of the detainees. Jerry Botial
