A father and his four-year-old daughter were killed early yesterday in a fire believed caused by faulty electrical wiring that was sparked by Christmas lights in the house.
Fire Officer Noel Consignado, the cases investigator, said Jeffrey Hernandez, 35, and daughter Bianca, were sound asleep when the fire broke out at 4:42 a.m.
It was too late for them to escape when they woke up because the fire had already spread throughout the house, located in BF Homes Subdivision in Las Piñas City.
Gener Ortiz, a security guard in the subdivision, said he saw the entire house being engulfed by flames. The fire was put out around 5:56 a.m. Rhodina Villanueva
