Muntinlupa launches search for outstanding residents

-
The Muntilupa City government has launched its first ever "Search for Outstanding Citizen 2006" to recognize local residents who have excelled in their respective fields and made significant contributions to the city’s development.

Tez Valencia, chief of the city’s Public Information Office (PIO), said the contest aims to honor those who have been successful in their chosen careers.

"Nominees for the search must be a resident of the city for at least a year and are of voting age. They should have made substantial contributions in the field of education, health and medicine, sports, public service, peace and order, environment, science and technology, entrepreneurship, arts and culture, and entertainment locally or in the regional level," Valencia explained.

At least two finalists per category will be selected and will be notified for final interviews with the screening committee.

The panel of interviewers will include distinguished personalities in medicine, public service, business, sports and education and in other fields. – Rhodina Villanueva
