Body of trucking supervisor found

The body of a trucking supervisor was found floating in the Malabon River yesterday in Malabon City.
PO2 Ananias Birad Jr., officer-on-case, said the body was that of Henry Sapit, 36, operations supervisor of the R. Jose Trucking Co. and a resident of Davila street, Navotas.
Sapit was positively identified by his brother Gener at around 3:30 p.m. in Barangay San Agustin, Malabon City, where the body was retrieved from the water.
The victims body was seen by a group of bystanders in a nipa hut along the Malabon River.
The police, led by Senior Inspector Benigno Asilar of the NPD Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO), arrived at the scene around 2:45 p.m.
When lifted from the water, probers found a lone hack wound in the victims buttocks.
Police said they have yet to determine the motive for the killing. Jerry Botial
