Superintendent Bernabe Balba, Cubao police station commander, identified the victim as Amelita Aco, a resident of Antipolo, Rizal.
The owner of the BMW sedan (ZCX 740), where the body was found is Judge Jaquiline Ongpauco Cortel, of the Pasig Municipal Trial Court.
An initial police report showed that Cortel parked her car along Times street at the Araneta Center at around 9 a.m. last Thursday. When the judge returned to the parking space at around 5:30 p.m., she was horrified to see the body of a woman slumped at the back seat of the car.
The judge immediately reported her grisly find to security guards who in turn contacted the police.
"Scene of the Crime Operatives and the Criminal Investigation Division are examining evidence to determine how she was killed and how her body ended up in the judges car," Balba told The STAR.
The body bore no external injuries, but witnesses said there was frothing in her mouth, an indication of possible poisoning.
Balba said security guards and parking attendants in the area failed to see anything suspicious.
