Homeowners official shot dead in Pasig

The vice president of a homeowners association was shot dead by two unidentified assailants in Pasig City the other day.
Killed was Rufino "Boy" Lauron, 39, the vice president of the Millennium Homeowners Association located along Lontoc Mangga Street in Nagpayong, Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
Lauron died on the spot from four gunshot wounds to the head and body. Two male suspects armed with a .45 caliber handgun escaped after the shooting.
According to Senior Superintendent Francisco Uyami, the shooting took place at 1:30 p.m. Friday along San Sebastian St. in Mangga III in Millennium village.
Police investigators said Lauron was fixing a downed electrical cable of the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) because the village still had no electricity when he was shot.
Uyami said the police suspect the motive for the killing was a land dispute in the area involving the victim.The police have launched a manhunt for the suspects in Laurons slay. Sandy Araneta
