No Pinoys killed, hurt in Germany train crash – DFA

No Filipino was hurt in last week’s train crash in northern Germany last Friday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DA) said yesterday.

The Philippine Consulate General in Hamburg, Germany reported to the DFA that the Osnabruck police confirmed last Saturday that there were no Filipino nationals among the fatalities and injured.

Acting Head of Post Christine Queenie Mangunay, of the Philippine Consulate General in Hamburg said Friday’s mishap killed 21 Germans and two Americans. Ten Germans were hurt.

Reports said the Transrapid magnetic levitation train traveling on the system’s test track in Lathen, Emdem District near the Netherlands border in northern Germany collided with a maintenance vehicle on the track. Pia Lee-Brago
