The loot eight boxes of Johnson & Johnson products were later recovered.
Senior Police Officer 2 Enrique de Jesus of the District Police Intelligence Unit (DPIU) identified the suspects as Orlin Paman alias "Dodong," 28, of Araneta Avenue, Quezon City; Henry Gasoso, 26, of Pampano street, Malabon City; and Andres Bernal, 27, of Dagat-Dagatan, Caloocan. All are jobless.
Records showed Noriel Paman, 28, delivery van driver for My Serve International Inc. with offices at Eusebio Avenue corner Luis street in San Miguel, Pasig, was turning at the corner of Pampano and Langaray streets at around 4 p.m. when the suspects climbed aboard as the vehicle slowed down.
De Jesus, who just left the DPIU office on Langaray street, spotted the suspects and signaled to the driver that he was being robbed.
The suspects forced open the back door using several tools and a steel bar.
When the driver alighted to check his cargo, two of the suspects, Gasoso and Bernal, jumped out in haste with the loot and boarded a passing tricycle, making good their escape.
The third suspect, however, failed to make it out of the van in time as De Jesus collared him and took him to the DPIU office for questioning.
Paman squealed on his cohorts and pointed out their possible hideouts. Gasoso and Bernal, together with the loot, were later seized in a follow-up operation. Jerry Botial, Pete Laude
