Woman killed by stray bullet from cops gun

A 28-year-old nursing graduate was killed by a stray bullet allegedly fired by a policeman running after two fleeing robbers in Sampaloc, Manila last Thursday night.
Marie Grace Raymundo, married, of Valenzuela City, succumbed to a bullet wound in the forehead while undergoing emergency treatment at the Mary Chiles Hospital.
Witnesses said she fell after a man in police uniform fired successive shots while chasing two men riding in tandem on a motorcycle.
The victim was hit while standing at the corner of Loyola and P. Paredes streets in Sampaloc at around 6:45 p.m.
Officer-on-case SPO3 Danilo Vidad said the policeman disappeared after seeing the fallen bystander. However, witnesses said they could identify the officer if they see him again, Vidad said.
Police probers recovered four spent shells and two deformed slugs from a caliber .9 mm at the scene of the crime. Nestor Etolle
