Bad luck continues to hound the controversial Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal III with the death of a security guard in a motorcycle accident yesterday.
NAIA-3 guard Menandro Larraga, of the Philippine Aviation Security Services Corp. security agency, and assigned at Gate 1 of the terminal, was reportedly making a dash for the comfort room on board a Honda motorcycle at around 11:30 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle.
Corporal Diosdado Bonalos, Larragas supervisor, said the guard had merely borrowed the motorcycle from a colleague.
Larraga apparently lost control causing the bikes front wheel to hit the airports arrival area cement curbside.
The impact sent the guard flying forward into a cement post.
